My son and I just went to lunch at Island's today where we saw 10 firemen. I pointed to them and said, "Brandon, look at the firemen. They're good people." He asked, "Fireman pee pee in the potty?" ................ One of the firemen then said with a smile, "Yes, but we pee pee in our pants sometimes." We all had a good laugh.

There's nothing extraordinary about this, but it was a big moment to me. I had pretty much stopped playing music for the last 10 years, but I just felt like pulling my guitar out of the closet tonight. My daughter provided an unexpected surprise... as she started doing body motions to the song I was singing. What's even more surprising is that my daughter is so super shy and would never do something like this.........especially unprompted. I may need to start playing music at home.

Conversations with my kids this week

My son came to me and asked, "Uh oh, what happened to your nose?"

I replied, "I had a nosebleed. Will you pray for me?"

He said, "Yes. Dear God, fix daddy's nose. In Jesus' name, amen."

He then ran off and brought back his Handy Manny hammer and whacked me on the nose and asked, "Daddy, your nose all fixed?"

As I took my daughter in for her 5-yr old check up, she asked me, "Daddy, can they fix everything here at the hospital?"

I said, "Yes they can."

She responded, "No they can't. They can't fix dying. Only God can do that."

I just quietly whispered, "You're right......you're right."

Just wanted to say that I'm still alive and well. Spending more time on Facebook I suppose.

My friend Youkeun (you can visit his site) asked if I would second shoot for him at a wedding this past weekend. I haven't really enjoyed shooting much the last year or so but shots like this definitely put a smile on my face. When I asked them if they would do this shot, they were like, "YEAH, let's do it!!!"
